80 degrees?? WTF??? when will Americans switch to the metric system like every other country on the planet?? 1000 gram = 1 kilogram 1 mililetre = 1 gram 1000 mililetres = 1 litre 100 centimetres = 1 metre 1000 metres = 1 kilometre Plus there are many more like this. And yeah they are all spelt "re" not "er" it's litre not liter. Also, Temperature is one of the best ones! 0 degrees = water freezes 100 degrees = water boils I know you grew up with the metric system but you can teach a monkey the metric system in 1 minute. Also, if you can x10 in your head, you won't need a calculator to work out simple conversions everyday.

Well ouch. Sorry it bothers you so much that we haven't gotten around to that. (We do happen to have a lot of stuff going on right now.) We use the metric system for science and some math, but we don't use it for every day things. @iheartnarwhals: Yes. It's quite nice.

Americans haven't changed because it would take a long time to and cost a lot of money we don't have right now (changing road signs, etc.)
