-272 You own at least one thing from the salvation army, even if you don't like to admit it. amirite?

I don't see why people think that store is gross ;P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wait....what?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People think it's a weird store, but there's nothing wrong with it. :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yup :P well, buying clothes from there IS a bit sketchy IMO, but they are my main supplier for computer parts and floppy disks xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Eh, whatever works. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There isn't anything sketchy about buying clothes at Salvation Army. Some stuff is actually really nice. Just as long as you wash it before you wear it, you'll be fine. 90 percent of all my clothes are from places like that, and they're all pretty cute.

My town is too small to have one. I've never been in one.

Cool is where you find it. Being stuck up about where you buy your clothes is really immature; a sure sign you don't pay for your own clothes yet. SA and thrift stores are full of cheap and unique awesomeness... who wants to look like every snobby douchebag that can find a Hollister store?

said like a pro

Couldn't have said it better myself. I prefer thrift stores to salvation army- mostly because SA doesn't really do "vintage", but I wouldn't have a bit of problem admitting I bought stuff there. As a matter of fact, when I get an awesome deal, I brag xD That *is* the difference between mommy and daddy buying your clothes, and paying your own way.

I bought Dr. Mario 64 from one. It cost $1.99 and came in the original box and everything.

i bought a shoe from there. i looked through it a little bit more and i saw a few maggots inside of it and some mold. it stanky. the shoelaces were frayed and colored with some mysterious red and yellow substances. it stanky. the color of the shoe was white and colored with gray dirt and other mysterious liquids. it stanky. there was a zipper on the side but it was caught and a piece of flesh was stuck on it. it stanky. the side of the shoe had "fucking shit" written on it. it stanky. a soggy bandaid was buried under a dirty sock. it stanky. a few toenail clippings were caught in between the lace crossings. it stanky. pubic hairs were covering the tongue of the shoe. it stanky. it so stanky i threw away the shoe. it stanky.

Why would I be ashamed to admit it? Thrifting is fun.

Why would I care if someone knew I bought a perfectly good basketball for 15 cents?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I bought one of the newest sims expansion packs for like 3 dollars :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Never even been in one. Goodwill on the other hand....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No. But I do have tons of things from Goodwill. My stepdads mom bought me all these really cute little knick knacks and helpful things for school and stuff. My room shelves are full of the knick knacks that she bought :|. I need to add another shelf now

I don't usually buy clothes there, but it's usually my go-to store when I put together my own Halloween costume :]
