A lot of the ways to make it more fun would mean make it A LOT more dangerous, which schools are unable to do.

The interhalogen compound ClF3 can be prepared by direct combination of the elements: Cl2(g) + 3F2 --> 2ClF3(g) If 2.00 L of chlorine at 1.20 atm are mixed with 2.00 L of fluorine at 3.10 atm in a 5.00 L flask at 240oC, what is the partial pressure of the reactant remaining, assuming 100% yield? A) 0.827 atm Cl2(g) B) 0.0665 atm Cl2(g) C) 0.758 atm F2(g) D) 0.0333 atm Cl2(g) E) 0.253 atm F2(g)

we blew up a pumpkin and made a jack o lantern!

I don't know about that, I think it depends on your teacher. I have the best chem teacher this year - he actually understands what he's talking about, blows things up everyday, and makes labs interesting. He only gives us work that we actually need to know, never any busy work. :)

My chemistry teacher is old and senile and blows everything up, so the classes are very interesting. We just never learn anything.
