They need to make band-aids that are the color of black people's skin, amirite?
by Anonymous11 years ago
I'm just wondering how they'd advertise them. "New! Band-aids for Negros!"

You know how they have the makeup for different skin tones? They could do these the same way.

Ha, I was just thinking that as I typed my comment. I still think it would be odd, though.
"Band-aids for every skin color!"
Yeah, I could see it, but I don't think people care what color their band-aids are. It's not like you're wearing them to beautify yourself as you are with make-up. You're wearing them to cover up a cut until it heals. Lipstick on a pig, ya know? :P

I imagined it something like a black woman looking at those bandages and being like "Wow! These are great! Now when I get in a bar fight and lose, nobody will know!" Then a guy's voice "Call (this number) in the next thirty minutes and we'll DOUBLE the offer and send you a KFC coupon!"

Dude... Black people don't get in bar fights that's white trailer trash. Black people get into fights at clubs.

At one point, there were different skin colored band-aids.

Segregated band aids.

Yeah it's really bad how unaccommodating these companies are. Sad, really.
am I the only one who thought that they would be used by everyone- not just black people?
by Anonymous11 years ago
"Hey, look, guys! I'm 1/1000 black!"
by Anonymous11 years ago
I actually dont really see what the problem is since band-aids dont really match the skin tone of white people anyways..
by Anonymous11 years ago
They were made for like, the two people on earth who have that skin tone.
by Anonymous11 years ago
For me they are way too dark my skin is white not tan. So none of them stay on long enough to worry about. Hey they should make them absolutely clear then they work for everyone

I feel like things like that would tend to prolong racism rather than help it. It makes things more equal, but also more separate.
by Anonymous11 years ago
It's just a band-aid that would match your skin color. No different than foundation or concealor colors.
