+243 Whenever you split your lip, the split always in on the bottom lip, amirite?

Actually, Brass players commonly split our upper lip playing our horns during the winter. Well, trombonists, for sure. Can't say anything about other players.

I actually play the trombone. Perhaps it doesn't get as cold here as it does where you live. My upper lip chaps a lot during the winter, but it doesn't exactly split like my lower lip does. Just my experience though.

Mine always splits when our marching season goes into winter. I'm in Arkansas.

Ahh that makes more sense. My high school marching band ends at the end of October. We never have to march during the winter.

We maRch the majority of the year. Where do you march at? What state?

I live in California. Here, the high school field marching competitions only last until the first weeks of November. After that, our school focuses on symphonic music until the following summer, where we get our field show music for the year.
