On TV, almost every time two gay guys adopt a kid, the kid is Asian, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I just feel bad for the kid.

There are a lot of adoptable Asian children.

Meh. The only theory I have for this is maybe TV writers think straight couples adopt kids their own colour, to at least try and pass it off as their own, whereas gay parents aren't gonna kid the casual observer that it's their own biological child, so they might as well get a kid from an underprivledged country.

There is only one I can think of, and that's Modern Family.

Foreign adoptions are easier for... unconventional, shall we say... prospective parents to get approved for. A single parent, an unmarried couple, a gay couple- they all have a better chance that way, since our system in the US is biased toward "values" that shouldn't be relevant because they're taken from one group's religion.
To the anon that said they felt bad for the kid- don't. Even if having gay parents is awkward, it's a hell of a lot better than growing up as a ward of any government. That, or you're just a homophobic piece of shit, in which case a simple "fuck off" will suffice.

Haha.... I love modern family

Eugh gay people should not be allowed to adopt. What if they spread their gay gene to the kid???
by Anonymous13 years ago
lmao @ everyone that voted you down.
You guys, he's gay too.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No. Just no.
by Anonymous13 years ago
And even if you didn't know that he was gay, the "spread the gay gene" was clearly a joke.
