-65 no, humans aren't better than animals, we are NOT more important then them. All animals are created equal, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But some are more equal than others.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

YES

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i clicked on this post for the sole purpose of saying that :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Humans are more intelligent. We hot to where we are by being the best. We evolved to be the top species.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or so they let us believe.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The RAAHS. Revenge Against All Humans Society. I heard it's an animal resistance group. They said I'm supposed to keep their secret or they'll smother my head against the keyboard, but I can't hold it in any longer. They're planning toajauchsnankf632h

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How does that society make us believe that?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Let us, not make us. I really hope you realize that I'm joking.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I realize that, but I dislike the joke.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

All animals are self serving. All animals, in fact all beings, value themselves more than anything else. Welcome to biology, anthropology, and philosophy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

As a species living on this earth, we can treat all species equally but our job is still to survive. Which means favoring your own species over others when necessary. Why do you think we eat other animals?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

For deliciousness!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That too.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I agree with the "we are not more important than them" because if the human race had never existed there would be plenty more species because they wouldn't have gone extinct and the earth would actually be healthy. I disagree with "humans aren't better than animals" for the simple fact that we have created such great things that allows us to dominate any species.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Some species would still go extinct.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah I know, but we've killed of plenty of species that should still be here.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah. I mostly agree you.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If they should still be here they would be.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"Dominant species".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This is only true under atheism. Even then, its worded poorly.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. I take that as human is supposed to be the dominant species over the rest of God's creatures. You are welcome to interpret that as you wish.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Created equal, yes. It's all the stuff that happened after the creation that proves we're better.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha I wanna see this logic. I'll take the smartest dolphin and smartest human and make them take a test. The human will get a better score. I'll take the best running human and best running horse and give them a marathon to run. The human wins. I'll take a group of humans and a group of primates, and get them to set up civilization. The humans make a better one. Oh wait, this already happened, it's called real life. Humans are BETTER.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Also, I don't treat them equally. If there is a vote to put in a water plant in Africa that may harm an endangered species, I'm all for it. I'm not letting humans suffer just so that a lower species on the food chain gets to survive, so long as the consequences of extinction don't affect us either.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This is mostley true but I think the horse might acually win...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Humans beat horses in marathons. Humans are made to run

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's actually false. Humans are made to walk, running is a hazard to our health.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What? Are you trolling or just stupid? Humans are made to run. Our leg tendons are springbound, our sweating is perfected to cardio-activity (something only few animals can do), our metabolism is made to burn energy at a pace that running exerts. You think that in a survival sense that humanity would have survived if they couldn't outrun certain game over miles?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Trololo. Geez your one of the first to see through me xD I even fooled my teacher.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/8732434.stm Humans beat horses for the most part.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that we're more intelligent than all other animals. Sure, we can do all kinds of things that other animals can't, but we often use this ability for evil. We wage war against our own species, which I wouldn't say is all that intelligent. Not to mention we continue to use the earth to serve our needs without regarding the destructuon we're causing. So really, we very well could end up doing ourselves in, which I wouldn't say is too smart. Other animals don't tend to threaten the very existence of their own species.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes they do. Species of spiders will eat their own young and mate. lions will attack their own pride. Animals will attack their own kind over territory disputes ALL THE TIME. Watch the national geographic shows about the animal kingdom at least once, you'll see how savage they are, most of the time even more savage than humans.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But the things they do don't cause mass destruction like humans are capable of. Territory disputes aren't going to destroy the earth and clearly even though these spiders eat their own kind, they're not going to wipe out the species by doing so. There's a huge difference between that and what we're capable of. The more we develop and advance our technology, the more destruction we're able to cause. Think of all the things we've been able to do in more recent history. We've wiped out whole cities with bombs. We've caused massive oil spills that destroy resources we need to survive. And the more technology we develop, the more destruction we can cause. That does not compare to simple territory disputes at all.

This post would probably have earned more support if OP had the balls to post it under their actual name as opposed to anonymously.

"Equality" is a human concept.
