I'm of the opinion that a man is a man, and no action he takes against anyone can negate that fact. Yes, abusing women is bad, but it doesn't somehow magically make you into a woman or a fake man or something. Just a bad person and/or a person with a very short temper.

You're missing the point of the post. It's not whether a man physiologically becomes a woman after hitting them, it's that they're not a MAN in the figurative sense; they're not a gentleman.

What precisely does someone have to do in order to be a "real man", then? Little girls don't abuse women. Does that make them "real men", or is it more complex than that? Are women who abuse men no longer "real women", either?
I agree that abuse of any kind is very bad, but I don't think it negates the realness of any label you may have, unless that label is "non-abuser".
