+292 Honestly, a baby has no use for frankincense, myrrh, and gold. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that's why the parents sell it for a heap of money and buy stuff that the baby does need

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They put it in a trust fund.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what does anyone use myrrh for anyway?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Myrrh was used as perfume for corpses, it wasn't supposed to be a practical gift it was given as a warning or foreshadowing of Jesus' death just thought I'd let you know

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Foreshadowing? He died 30+ years later.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Foreshadow: to show or indicate beforehand Who said theres a time limit on it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's more of a symbol than foreshadowing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah that sounds better. . .

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No need for a staggered ellipses.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A dead body doesn't need nice clothing to be buried in, or flowers. The wise men were showing their honor and respect.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It would have been wiser to give diapers, baby wipes, and a pacifier.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Pretty sure they didn't have those back then, just a thought. ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah but you don't give mushy carrots and diapers to a king, even if the king is only a baby, it's not respectful...and besides all these guys are probably single (I mean come on, "wise men" is just a nice way of saying nerds), how would they know what to give a baby?
