My friend's younger siblings are quadruplets, and one of them stayed back a year....

It's their fault. I would have zero sympathy.

What if they get held back in kindergarten? It's not like you can really control your maturity level at that age?

That's not the hypothetical situation I thought the post was implying, so Pringles.

But if they're identical twins, the smart twin can go and do the make up test for the other twin lol :P Anyways what's much worse is when a twin dies before the other, especially at a young age.COUGH COUGH FRED AND GEORGE :(

Or to fail a grade and have a sibling a year younger than you and graduate the same year and everything...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That happened to a kid I know. He and his little sister are graduating the same year.

In first grade there were twins in my grade and one of them got held back, so they held the other one back too.

Lol wtf? that's messed up, I would have been pissed.

A girl I went to school with, she was born November 30, and her twin brother was born a few hours later, on December 1, and that was actually the cut off date for attending school when a child is 5, so she entered Year 1 a few before him, and was always a year above him. If I were the parents, I would have just made her wait and put them in the same year, but whatever.

The same thing happened with kids at my school, except they were born via c-section and were only 2 minutes apart, but either side of midnight so either side of the cut-off...it would be so annoying to be that close in age but still a year apart at school. The older one just graduated.
