It's kind of weird how in high school girls can join the football and wrestling teams, but guys can't join the volleyball team, amirite?

I know that some places do have them. I imagine that places near nice beaches might have a volleyball team. I live in Washington. There's no use arguing about it.

Many states do not have the sport in high school for guys and even in states that do have it, not every school has it. Believe me, if there was one I would have joined it...

My school has two boys volleyball teams. And we're in Arizona. Who do you think they go against? Other boy volleyball teams in Arizona. Believe it or not, volleyball can be played indoor as well!

Sorry. Everyone's flipping out because no schools in my area do boy's volleyball. Well, if you live near a beach, then beach volleyball is going to be more popular. So it makes sense that schools would offer volleyball as a sport (for both sexes) because of its popularity. That was my logic behind the beach thing. I love how everyone jumps down my throat about a false assumption I made due to my personal experience. Shit happens.

If there are guys on the team, you can't play all girls' teams, which would be majority of whatever league you're in.

That's not true where I live. Guys can join the volleyball team they just aren't allowed to jump over the height of the net in the front row.

You've never heard of a girl on a football team? My school has one, and my friend from elementary school played on her middle school's football team, and I've heard of other schools with girls on the football team. But my school (or any school in the district, and I'm pretty sure the state) doesn't have a guys' volleyball team.

We have a guy's volleyball team and there's a guy on our cheer and three guys on our dance team. Oddly enough, we live in a very conservative, homophobic environment.

Guys can join the volleyball team. If there isn't a guys team for it, then the guys can join the girls team. That's why I was able to join the guys wrestling team.

I was going to say this. But it is true. If there is no guy's volleyball team, then they may join the girl's team, just like girls are allowed to play football and wrestling and whatnot.

my old school had a girl kicker, she was really good. I considered going out for kicker because I played keeper in soccer so I was already good at punting haha

It never made any of the guys uncomfortable, they just talked about what they normally did, it's not like we had much time to talk at practice anyway. Girls are just another part of the team.

Not true. The same federal Title 10 law that allows females to join "male" sports, works the other way also.
