They are the same thing. The only difference is the scale of time it is measured over.

But they're basically the same thing. How can you agree that organisms change over time... but that even after millions of years, they'll be basically the same? Do you think evolution just regresses after a certain point? Not trying to be facetious. I am genuinely confused that this belief is a thing.
