+271 If somebody tried to make it illegal to go to church, so many people - religious or otherwise - would lose their minds over it until they get their way. But it doesn't matter that once they're done, so many of them are going to turn around and petition against gay rights, amirite?

Religion has such crazy levels of hypocrisy. Did you see the story about that Scott Roeder guy who killed a doctor who performed late term abortions at church?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I mean he killed them at church...not abortions were carried out at church. Although wouldn't that be something?

you don't have to be a christian to go to church, and to be a christian you don't have to go to church.

I don't see what that has to do with anything.

i don't either, haha. that was just what was floating through my head at the time of reading the post.

You're an idiot. People like you need to understand that people have certain rights ie. The right to religion ie. The right to have freedom of speech. Marriage is a privilage not a right. And in case you didn't kno, gays get the same benefits with a domestic partnership. Peoplelike you are the cancer of America making sure every last freedom has been stripped away because you want to whine about it till you get your way, but it's only ok if you do it right???Learn you freedoms before you blab about it online, but I guess that is your freedom isn't it?

(Sick and tired of...): Except for that part where domestic partnership is not marriage. Remember seperate but equal? It doesn't work. Ever. Look up Brown vs. The Board of education. Learn your previous court rulings before you go whining about progress online, but I guess that's your choice, isn't it?

(Sick and tired of...): You're the first person to bring up marriage, I hope you know. >> Marriage is a privilage not a right *privilege, and if the court told you, "No, you're Christian, you can't marry a Jew in this state," you'd lose your shit. >> making sure every last freedom has been stripped away What? I didn't say that your freedom should be taken away, I said that if such a thing happened people would be upset about it, then turn around and do the same thing to somebody else. Another thing that bugs me about pricks like you; most of you don't know where the fucking comma key is, and you think that adding 3 question marks will make it seem like a much more important question or something. Learn grammar before you ramble about it online, but I guess it's your freedom not to, isn't it?

@Really? Cancer? Thankyou for expressing your freedom. I believe that you are talking about inalienable rights that humans have. Such as life, liberty, and u kno the rest. The court case you mentioned dealt with equality but equality of a different sort. I know exactly which case you are referring to. You should have just brought up plessy v. ferguson in 1896. That's racial isolation. This is a subject of marriage. Once again, it isn't a right that we have. It is a privilage. Honestly people should be happy that we live in such a free country. In most other countries, people are hanged or stoned for difference of opinion let alone a difference in sexuality. You obviously seem set in your ways as I am in mine. Arguing over the Internet is meaningless and rediculas because there is never any resolve. Bottom line is people cannot try to change the constitution or "ammend" it to suit their needs. Marriage is a privilage, not a right and most gay people know that and hate that all t...
