-15 history classes should be about the more interesting aspects of history, such as the fashion, media, food, social stuff, and just the lifestyles of people from long ago, rather than the boring stuff like the wars. amirite?

Exact quote my history teacher said the first day this semester.

Wars can be interesting too

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I might actually pay attention if this was the case.

Wars are boring, but studying their ancient bread isn't?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

It's the "boring stuff like wars" that help create the countries and borders we live in/by today.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

wars create everything and solve everything, until another war comes to solve the problem of the last one, WAR FUCK YEA

by Anonymous 13 years ago

technically, wars do the opposite of creating everything...

"Boring stuff like wars" basically shaped the world into what it is today. Wars influenced "fashion, media, food, social stuff and the people's lifestyles". Everything. And you can't say it's boring when millions of selfless people gave their lives for a cause. It's extremely disrespectful. Go tell an old war veteran that the war he fought in was "boring". I'm sure he'd disagree. Maybe if you tried harder to understand what you're learning about instead of complaining on the internet, it wouldn't be so "boring".

What you're talking about is sociology not history. History is about events. Fashion is not an event, it's a fad.

HA! i bet you're a 13 year old girl. who cares about Viking fashion and food that the Pilgrims ate? certainly not me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

your probably a girl, you would say that. wars are the best part :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OP is definitely a girl. What guy thinks fashion is more interesting than WARRRR

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're wanting to take a sociology class then. That's the history of culture, which is what you're referring to.

I find the wars and stuff interesting. . . But I would love to learn about the other things you mentioned as well =)
