+203 Our Grandkids will not know what a Snow Day is, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually they will. If you knew anything about global warming it means greater extremes, with the summers being hotter and the winters colder. So, they will actually know what a snow day is, and will probably get more snow then we will ever have.

or they mean because the bus will be able to take them no matter what ( possibly flying )

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Agreed. It's global climate change, not global warming. The misnomer causes people to misunderstand what is really happening, and doubt it all together. Places will get colder and warmer overall, not just warmer.

My school is getting rid of snow days next year all together which is obviously pretty stupid concidering I live way up north where it snows like a bitch.... It kinda sucks but yeah...I'll get over it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't complain, at least you get snow! all we get is rain and the once a year hail just to taunt us of the snow we shall never receive.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Snow gets old fast.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'd keep it in a cup and stuff it in my fridge...:] hey least you get to annoying people while waiting for the bus? hahas

by Anonymous 13 years ago

um snow isn't at all great. if you actually lived where it snowed all the time you wouldn't be thinking what you were thinking....snow is pretty and all but it's like living in hell, but well frozen o:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but dude you are still more privileged than us? Even if you get used to it, it's better than slippery rain =.= Also 2 words: No school

by Anonymous 13 years ago

snow = comes with slippery ice? Which is much more worse than slippery rain..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, if you live in a place where snow is common, there is no such thing as a snow day. People are expected to adapt to the weather. And if we don't have school in session for a certain number of days then they make school go throughout the summer. Snow really isn't that great...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I will be the third person to say this, but whatever. Snow is not as great as some people think it is. Sure, it's cool for like a week, but then it gets old. Plus, ever driven in a snow storm? Not fun at all.

Challenge accepted.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I only YYAd because my school is getting rid of snow days next year. Even though in the recent years we have had five snow days per year and high schoolers walk... or worse, drive themselves. x:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How can they just get rid of snow days?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wait... What? Even if there's no goddamn possible transportation, you're still going to be expected to show up to school on time? The person who thought that was a good idea needs to be slapped.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. Most of the kids have to walk to school because parents go to work earlier than school starts and they don't work in our city. So it's up to teenagers, who just learned how to drive, to bring their siblings to school. Most of the teenagers at my school are ditzy and terrible drivers. Really great in the winter! :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then tell them to get the hell up to Northern Canada! I don't think we'll have any shortages of snow anytime soon!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've already had 1 close, 3 two hours late starts and 2 times getting out early, and those 5 count for school days :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haven't you noticed that winters are already getting colder?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When you said this I thought you meant because schools will all have computers and will just be able to go to school from home. o.o

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Last year i had over a week off school because of snow. Before that i probably had about one day off every 2 years. By the time our grandkids go to school they'll have more snow days than we ever dis
