It depends. Some people come from abusive homes, and sometimes their parents/siblings/cousins are just terrible people with crappy personalities. You don't choose your family.

So you shouldn't have to fear your own family. If you fear your own family, it's most likely your family's fault. And that probably means a bad home. Which is bad. So nobody should have to have that, so nobody should have to fear their own family.
