+470 You feel like a huge dork when you like the book you're English teacher assigns and no one else does, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No way. Even though I'll admit most of the books I had to read for English class were shite, other people's opinions of it wouldn't effect mine.

I'm not saying it changes people's opinions on the book, I'm saying it makes them feel dorky, sometimes.

Like Lord of the Flies and To Kill a Mockingbird :) Awesome books that all of my classmates hated because it was assigned for them to read.

I think you need to do some more reading if you can't even use the right 'your'.

STFU grammar nazi. This is the internet. I think you need counseling if you feel the need to put people down simply for one spelling mistake that doesn't even hinder your understanding of the post.

Catcher in the Rye :] even an English teacher i know hates that book but I like it for some reason.

I think I was the only one in my class besides the teacher who didn't dislike "The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds".

Everyone in my class hated Animal Farm when we had to do it, but it's one of my favourite books 8]
