French III is pretty good, so far. Hello? Hello, I am _____ Who is calling, please? This is _______ One moment, don't hang up. I'm sorry, he isn't here. Can I leave a message? Hold on, I'm grabbing paper. Ok, go. This is ________, please call back, the number is 01.01.01.01.01. Thank you. Goodbye.

Because it's tough to have a meaningful conversation when all you can say is "I like the red pen" and "I live in the United States" Exhibit A (although this guy is very romantic): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngRq82c8Baw

Chinese is pretty bad too. Hi, is this Xiaoyun's dorm? Yes, it is. Please come in. What's your name? I'm Dawei. Please sit down. (sits) Is Xiaoyun here? No. Where is she? I don't know. Oh, thanks anyway. Bye. (leaves)

Oh you should see the Latin paragraphs. "The slave carried the good water to the house. Then a frog jumped out of the water! The slave screamed!" ...They're always about slaves or water.

hahaha same with the latin in my class, water and slave were both in the first few vocab lists we got, and we have already learned two ways of saying 'kill' since the beginning of the year.

Oh my gosh, yes. If I'm in a Spanish speaking country, I'm not gonna go up to a person I don't know, introduce myself and ask what's in their backpack.

Hey. What's wrong with you? Oh I hurt my fingers. What a pity. You should take medicine. Many thanks, goodbye.
