It is silly when people clap at the end of Twilight* Fixed (Unless of course you are just happy that it is over and you can go home!)

Depends on the movie. People clapped when I went to the midnight premiere of Harry Potter. But it was a midnight premiere, so it made sense.

Well I think its silly because calpping is usually used to give people credit and show appreciation, so the people they are trying to applaud cannot hear them.

Sure, but we can still show that we appreciated the movie. I can see where it's weird at a normal showing, but I see where it feels natural to do it at a special showing, like a premiere.

Not really. It has a culture to it and makes it a fun experience.
