There should be lanes in a high school hallway: the texting lane, the swagger lane, the we-want-to-walk-17-people-across-lane, the boyfriend/girlfriend makeout lane, the slow walkers' lane and the lane for people who just want to get to class, amirite?

I know right? And it wouldn't be just one hallway, there would need to be one that big for every hall there was in the school before. It would be a huge chore going from one class to another.

Umm both? The bell ring to announce the end of class then the next bell means class has started so when you see people who are starting to get to class you grab your books and go.

I would think that four lanes would be enough: one for slow freshmen, one for fast people, and both going the other way. If people decide to stop and chat, then the fast lane could be the passing lane.

My school has 2226 kids in it, and i have one class in the C hall of the basement and another on the A hall of the third floor. It takes probably almost two and half minutes just to climb the stairs because of over crowding. 5 minutes, not that much time, ecspecially when dumbasses create barracades across the hall so the can chat in groups.

In my school the freshmen get easily lost in the beginning of the year. Than we have the hallways where most freshmen classes are, so they don't need to worry about going from one side of the school all the way to the other in four minutes. When the upperclassmens have to go to class and their hallway happens to be on their way, it takes forever to go through their chatty groups and all.

my schools seperated so the guys are down the road so i dont know what the situation is at there site but at mine its terrible you got 1st years running to class banging into everyone with there huge bags you got everyonetrying to get to class on time and when the sixth years guys are there with there huge rugby bags you get bashed in the face constantly its so much fun especially when you see teachers trying to gt through telling people to move out the way and everyone just keeps on going lol :P

I dont know how many times I've wanted to have this. Even like underground tunnels that you can speed past the slow people with. My friends and I have even contemplated putting football pads on and barreling through the halls. Its like rush hour in our halls, no one gets anywhere until the last minute we have to get to class. I'm short enough that I can duck under some people and squeeze between others, but I just barely make it before the bell. There's a saying in my school "You know you're from here when the teachers accept the reason you were late to class because you were behind some dumbass who was trying to get his swag on.

Haha, just the other day I was getting really mad and running late to class (we only have 3 minutes!) and I just got off the busiest stairwell in the school. There were some idiots standing in the middle of the hallway who were talking and I intended to just slip through them, but they had to start doing some kind of stupid handshake. So right when I walked through, I just pushed through their hands! I felt so rude, but I didn't look back. Anyway, this is and awesome idea. I think also there should be little areas or rooms or something for people who want to stand around and talk in the hallways too. People always clump right in the middle!
