I think if a show has to try and instill a false sense of comedy, it's a fail. With exceptions of course. Anyway, shows that don't and also ARE funny end up being classics, i.e. The Office(alltime favoerite) the Community. Because their writers are in fact Geniuses. And the first two comments are hilarious LOL

I always thought there were people actually watching it and they just recorded their actual laugh each show

I heard the laugh tracks in shows were recorded in the 50s, the people you hear laughing are dead
