School doesn't end 'til the beginning of summer, or at least this is true where I live.

My school got out on June 21st...pretty sure that isn't spring...

We only get out in spring because kids die of heat stroke during recess in the summer. And the schools dislike lawsuits.

No it's still nearing the end, because it doesn't matter what hemisphere you're in, every school year ends in summer.
