+298 Whenever Disney wants to teach a lesson in the lines of "it's what's inside that matters", they always produce a movie about a beautiful woman loving an ugly man (example: Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame), not vice versa , although girls are much more insecure about their appearance than boys, amirite?

Esmeralda didn't love Quasimodo, she just didn't make fun of him or call him a monster.

Still, in the second movie Madeleine loves him

Wait, there's a second Hunchback of Notre Dame movie? wtf?

The second is a typical Disney sequel, even though it's called "The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2", it isn't considered part of the official canon and isn't technically part of the same continuity. Oh, and it sucks big time too.

Well, in Cinderella 2, someone falls in love with one of the ugly step-sisters. He's not good-looking, but he still does love her.

Well, they were kind of based on famous books. They can't change the whole story.

They kind of already did . . . the Disney movies are nothing like the actual classic fairytales.

I don't get the point of this post... you answered your own "problem"?

You could also see it as Disney saying that all girl are beautiful.

Disney should make a plus sized or unattractive princess (or any girl) with a good heart. Who gets the good looking guy.
