+292 It's not really fair that girls take so much crap over "daddy issues" when there are plenty of guys out there looking for a woman to do his laundry, cook his meals, keep track of his stuff... I mean, what about "mommy issues", amirite?

Haha, on a site with more adults this would get better response. Most people here don't have any idea what a real relationship is.

What are daddy issues?

To confused commentors: Urban Dictionary says daddy issues are: "Whenever a female has a fucked up relationship with her father, or absence of a father figure during her childhood, it tends to spill into any adult relationship they embark on, usually to the chagrin of any poor male in their life." I would expand that to include girls who seek out older men for relationships because they didn't get enough attention/affection from their fathers, and girls who are easy because they're desperate for any attention from men at all.

So the writer is thinking it isn't fair women often have a psychological explanation to why their damaged and feels men should too? Men already get refered to as mummies boys and such. Freud himself has damaged the male reputation. Daddy issues are a bigger problem so it is more known. As for the 'crap' they 'take' for it, if they didn't have issues then they wouldn't suffer.

Whoa, your comment # is a palindrome. Anyway, I realize that people know some men want to be taken care of as if by a mommy, however "mommy issues" is not a phrase you use to hear describing it, and that's all this post was really about. It's meant to be more tongue-in-cheek than really serious.
