-35 Love songs are cute and all, but there need to be more about homosexual/bisexual/asexual relationships. I mean, some of the ones already out there you can't even tell are about it without knowing the artist's sexuality, amirite?

Is homosexual love different from heterosexual love other than the gender of your partner?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, but most of the love songs are "He said he loved me" or "I love that girl," I think a few songs about other kinds of love would be a nice change of pace.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, "he said he loved me" could have been sung by a guy and "I love that girl" could be sung by a girl. It just depends on who's singing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's what I meant. If you hear a girl on the radio, it's the "He said" version, but you never hear "I love that girl" sung by a girl.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, I'm straight, so I can't really relate to that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay. I'm not saying "Every song on the radio has to be gay," I'm just saying there should be a few more songs. I made this post because I thought a song on the radio about a gay couple would be different than "I fucked dat hoe" or "Yay I'm partying with autotune" or "I'm so in love with the opposite sex," but obviously no one agrees with me because, as usual, it's in the negatives.

Well, it's not cause you're wrong, it's just cause you're in the minority and no one can relate.

I am not even jokeing, the first time I heard Justin Beiber, I was like "It's nice lesbians are on the radio now"

People can sing what they want to sing about. They don't have to be forced into singing songs about homosexual or bisexual relationships. (P.S. Isn't asexual only in plants and other species...)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

asexual means not attracted to any specific gender. Well that's just the jist of it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, I guess I was thinking of asexual reproduction.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Asexual is "not having or involving sex."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you are asexual you aren't attracted to either gender so you're not going to be in a relationship...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No. That really only applies to the aromantics. I'm a demiromantic asexual, and I can say pretty safely I've had interest in people. It just wasn't sexual.

Songs like that already exist... are they mainstream... no. Do they exist? yes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Case in point... Hot Limit by High and Mighty color It's about lust between a woman and mermaid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How the hell do you propose someone writes a song about an asexual relationship?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"I love you, but all you want to do is f***"?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no ones stopping gay people from writing gay songs, no one would relate to them, and gay people are the minority so theres going to be less songs about gay relationships

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lady gaga will be as close as we get, and Katy perry, unfortunately.
