+136 Hermione should be in Ravenclaw. I mean, she's the smartest student in their year, and possibly in the whole school, amirite?

She isnt very openminded, like how she couldnt stand divination. She stays with facts.

The Sorting Hat was going to put her in Ravenclaw, but she wanted to be in Gryffindor, just like it was going to put Harry in Slytherin, but he wanted to be in, well, Not-Slytherin.

The sorting hat took into consideration other things, just because your smart doesn't mean your automatically going to be in Ravenclaw....

And Ron should probably be in Hufflepuff. He doesn't demonstrate bravery more than anyone else.

He risked his knight!

How is Ron not brave? He took a possible lethal stone to the head for his friends, faced his greatest, deadly fear to learn the truth, stood up with a broken leg against a murderer, chained himself to a killer and a werewolf on a full moon... was admittedly a bit of a prick in book four... illegally left the school to illegally break into the ministry to possibly face the darkest wizard of all time to save Sirius, battled Death Eaters who could've killed him instead, battled them again a year later, decided to leave on a dangerous journey, not meant for children, which they practically still were, just to save the world, broke into the ministry again when they'd be killed if caught - yeah, he left, but it definitely took courage to come back, and then he faced off with an insanely dangerous madwoman to save the girl he loved, and he broke into Gringotts, rode a dragon, snuck into another place he could've died, and fought in a battle to the death. Oh, yeah, then he became an Auror, the most dangerous profession there is. Sorry about that. But this is getting ridiculous.

Does it matter? He doesn't exist. He's trapped in an endless 7 year cycle, reliving everything, over and over again.

I think he did most of those things out of strong loyalty rather than bravery. He wouldn't have done any of those things by himself. In contrast, Harry does a lot of stupidly brave things when he's emotionally charged, like trying to get back Neville's Remembrall when he had never ridden a broomstick before. Loyalty, by the way, is the key Hufflepuff trait. A lot of those things, others did along with him, for example Luna (a Ravenclaw) went with them to the Ministry to save Sirius. You don't have to be a Gryffindor to do brave things. Most every character was forced to act brave as the series progressed. Finally, I never said he wasn't brave. You misconstrued what I said.

Yes, other people did some of those things along with Ron, but he, Harry, and Hermione are the only ones who did *all* those things.

The houses aren't only decided on what traits you have, but also what traits you value. In the first book, Hermione made it pretty obvious that she valued the Gryffindor traits over the Ravenclaw ones.

Maybe because Hermione is more book-smart and Ravenclaws are more wise

SHE'S THE BALLSIEST WITCH I EVER DID SEE
