+340 It's interesting to think how if Voldemort thought Neville was the one who would kill him it would be Neville Longbottom and the Sorcerer's Stones, Neville Longbottom and the Chamber of Secerts, etc. Amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No because its a fictional book and the main character would have the same name no matter what.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not if the main character was a different person

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You act like it's eal life. The characters name would still be Harry Potter if she wanted that to be the main character.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i was kind of expecting you to use your imagination though...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but the op was talking about if harry potter wasn't the main character

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Apparently you are an idiot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

apparently you're annoying

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always thought it would have been interesting to find out who was narrating the books. Because it leads you to believe it's Harry, but it wouldn't be the first time JK Rowling pulled something like that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but it's not in first person

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's an external narrator from Harry's point of view... I mean, it's not as if Neville would follow him around all the time, hiding in his bedroom and stuff...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm aware. But with all the twists in the book, it really wouldn't have surprised me too much. Or that Harry's narration was just to be a distraction from something else.

What a freakin horrible last name though. "Potter" sounds a bit magical, but "Longbottom" ehh...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think Longbottom sounds more magical. Potter just sounds like someone who puts stuff in pots. Or a druggie. It only sounds more magical because we're used to him being magical.

It'd be Neville and the Philosopher's Stone actually. (Yes, I know it's Sorcerer in America blah blah blah, but JK has said she regrets changing it. So there.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually that's what I put when I made the post and then I changed it then i changed it back and then changed it until the minutes for editing were up...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, you should've kept it as philosopher's.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I happen to live in America where my book says sorcerers so whatever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I already explained that though. Anyway I'm not having a go at you, I'm just saying.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The books is called Philosopher's Stone...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

read what i said above you. and my book says sorcerers stone so whatever

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My friends and I were talking about this the other day!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

me and my friends were too! it started with how i thought Snapes undying love for Lily was really sweet and I wish they'd gotten married, but then there would be no Harry Potter, and Neville would be the one Voldemort tried to kill and then how The prisoner of Azkaban wouldn't even exist because Sirius was friends with James not Nevilles parent's but I didn't want to type that all out in a post so I just said if Voldemort chose Neville haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wish it was that way.I love Neville more than Harry.
