Gums only bleed after flossing if they haven't been flossed in a lo-o-o-o-ong time . . . the blood is trying to bleed out any disease, etc, from the areas that haven't been seen by a brush or dental floss in a while. In short, the dentist always knows when you haven't been flossing. ;) (Okay, now that I've given my two cents, time to go . . .)

If you actually floss your teeth regurlary, your gums won't bleed when he flosses em.
