douché (douche)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

douche does not have the acute accent above the e but touche does. The acute accent makes the 'e' sound like (ay) (too-shay) :L

may we have a moment of silence for the joking retort that just died here....?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's too-shay because of the accent, it's a frech word and whenever and accent like that is over an e it is pronounced ay

Oh Walter...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, you would sound like a douche if you said douché (douche-ay)

PEOPLE WATCH DRAKE AND JOSH! WHAT WAS YOUR CHILDHOOD?

In French, toucher is the infinitive while touché is the conjugated verb in either the 'I' form or the 'He/She' form. It could really go either way. We pronounce the conjugated form like 'toosh' in my French class, but it probably can be pronounced either way.

Actually touché is the past participle. The conjugated verb of toucher for je and il and Elle would be touche.
