The first two were pretty bad... 1. There are a lot of songs that are about 2 - 3 minutes long. 2. They would probably have a song that relates to the show you're watching, just as they do with commercials. 3. Modern music doesn't suck.... Your taste in music sucks

1. I can't vouch for the rest of the world, but where I live, commercial breaks are very short. 2. Still, the amount they make from many commercials is MUCH more than they could with one video. 3. My favorite band is The Beatles. If you're telling me The Beatles suck, I'm wasting my time talking to you.

Well not every band is The Beatles... if you only like The Beatles, then you don't like music you just like that band... it's not I don't like LCD Soundsystem, I just like one song by them....

Well you said something to the effect of modern music sucks... if you don't like any music that comes out nowadays, then you don't like music, you just like a certain genre of music (maybe oldies) I just said "only Beatles" to simplify it

Even if I did say that, only liking certain genres would mean I still like music. But I don't only like certain genres, I just immensely dislike modern rap, modern pop, and country. I still love music like hard rock, alternative, and a lot of other genres The Beatles aren't exactly known for, but my favorite band is The Beatles. I also like Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Nirvana...

No no, only liking certain genres doesn't always mean liking music. Watch if you like a sub group, does that mean you also like the group? If you only like 1 guy/girl from a group of 10, you don't like the group, you only like that person. Same with music, unless you like a broad range of genres you don't really like music.... And hey as a guy who plays guitar left handed I like Jimi Hendrix. I also like MJ and Bob Marley, the ones you listed ARE good, but you can't say good music died with them. Even if the only famous singer out there is Justin Bieber, he still has fans and that means someone out there thinks his music is "good".

Liking any music means you like music. If you hear someone say that they like music and you assume they like every band and every genre, you have a problem. I don't only like music in genres, but also what it represents as a whole. You can love a country and hate everyone who lives in it at the same time.I never said anything even remotely like "music died with them", I just don't like them. Just because someone likes them, doesn't mean their good. I like a good share of music I'm sure is horrible.

Well to that person it is "good" and I didn't say you had to like every band... I said you can't just like a 10th of something and say you like the whole thing. It's the same thing with music, unless you like a variety of it, then you only like what you like. Imagine a circle inside another circle, if you like the smaller circle, then that means you only like PART of the bigger circle....

Incorrect, because I don't split music into genres when discussing it as a whole. I love music as a whole, despite not liking certain parts individually. And, for what might be the fifth time, I like most genres. I've already listed the only three I don't.
