I see it as if it's not everyone's right then those who are out to harm people are the only ones who have them through illegal means which leave the innocents pretty defenseless.

If America hadn't had the right to bear arms in the first place, they wouldn't be in such a mess. In countries where it's illegal to bear arms, they don't have anywhere near thhe same amount of gun crime because even the criminals find it really hard to get guns. And it wouldn't be hard to the government to crush the public regardlss of whether or not the public had guns - the army's weapons are much more sophisticated and the peopl wielding them are fully trained. The right to bear arms is ridiculous and costs so many innocent lives, and most first world countries look down on America because of it.
