This is kinda personal, but this happened to me. I was really good buddies with one guy. For a while, we were pretty inseparable, like brothers almost. I remember we used to just go down to the lake and skip rocks for hours talking about all sorts of shit. Sometimes random nothing, sometimes we'd have real deep conversations about life and our place in the universe. For some reason, after we graduated, we just started drifting apart. He just seemed to get more and more distant. After a few years, we just lost contact. I'd almost completely forgotten about him until one day I was watching the news and I saw his face. He'd been convicted in a double murder. I just couldn't believe it. I actually knew someone who made it onto the news! I felt so famous! Now I get to boast to all my buddies that I knew him when! Just goes to show, you never know when something totally awesome is gonna come your way!
