I just to do it on family road trips. Until my parents decided to have some bedroom talk once. Now, I make sure I can't hear them. Lol

No. Earbuds go inside your ear. I personally like them a lot more.

I do this sometimes, but most of the time my family talks to me even when I have my headphones. Then they get mad at me when I don't answer them...
