That doesn't even make sense! A wedding ring shows that you've promised yourself to one person, and you don't actually stop having sex with that one person. A purity ring is a symbol of saving your virginity until you're married. Jeez, get it right.

In my opinion you don't need to get married to have sex, as long as it is meaningful and with the right person, and you use protection, sex is justified. Although in some cultures the girl who's had sex before marriage is considered a disgrace (i shall not use any other awful words :P), but that's just not fair because a guy and girl should be equal. A lot of guys will look for someone who is a virgin when they themselves are not. Sorry I got a little bit of topic here, but it shouldn't be the purity ring or marriage, but knowledge and being aware of what you're doing and taking the right measures to protect yourself.

In my opinion, the best way to make sure sex is meaningful, with the right person, and with your body (and heart) protected is for it to be the person you are married to. I agree with you on the other thing, except I think it should be the other way around: guys should get more hear for heat for having sex before marriage.

A purity ring represents your pledge not to have sex before marriage. It is generally worn by Christians, as God intends sex to be enjoyed by husband and wife. God makes it very clear that if you follow him then premarital sex is forbidden. it has nothing to do with a culture, it has to do with your belief system.
