+185 Even though most books read for homework are annoying on the basis of them being read for school, it is actually pretty awesome that schools are keeping us into great classic books that would otherwise go unnoticed in the library (Catcher in the Rye, A Seperate Peace, etc.), amirite?

And I feel like a complete idiot for spelling separate wrong.

Okay, it's good they're encouraging it, but those were bad examples. Those books sucked. You could've mentioned Shakespeare or Poe or Frankenstein. A Separate Peace? Really?

I agree with Catcher in the rye and others like of mice and men but some of the books are just plain boring, like to kill a mocking bird

Of Mice and Men, Frankenstein, All the Kings Men, etc... TOTALLY

I really like catcher in the rye, and of mice and men

No. Read Great Expectations, and then tell me that again, honestly. And read 'Feed'. If you think they are good pieces of literature, I will be shocked.
