I don't understand how 6 mozzarella sticks is equivalent to a plate full of fries or a slice of pizza.

At my school freshman year 3$ bought you the main thing, whatever it was for that day, fries, milk, and a fruit. They eventually cut that to 3$ for just the main thing and 50 cents for everything else, so a 'full' lunch senior year was easily 6$, and they're not even allowed to serve fries anymore. This is while a full lunch for kids with reduced lunch was only 40 cents.

"Ma'am, I just paid $6 dollars for this piece of shit you call a 'cheeseburger' and you expect me to pay an extra 25 cents on a ketchup packet... I just have 2 more words for you..." No, but seriously the food in my cafeteria is RIDICULOUSLY expensive.
