So true

I actually starting packing clothes, and almost crawled out my window. I don't remember why I was going to run away.

My sisters made it all the way to their friend's driveway....Across the street.

once I got mad at my parents, so I told them how I was going to run away. I even packed my backpack and filled it with water bottles and food. My parents didn't even care because they knew I would come back. I went in the woods for like 30 minutes and my mom even saw me and took pictures. I was pathetic. and before anyone else says it, cool story, bro.

My sisters and I made it to the corner, but we couldn't cross the street by ourselves so we went back home.

I never tried to run away because I had never left the house without asking permission. I was such a goody-two shoes.

Ha same here. Even though it was more that my parents scared me.

My sister's 15, and she still tries to run away...

No, my family isn't dysfunctional.

your family doesn't have to be dysfunctional for it to happen. Once I ran away to my back yard just because my mom said I couldn't get a rabbit.

Not being allowed to cross the street kinda ends the whole running away process.

I don't remember why i was going to run away, but all i remember was that when i got halfway down my block, i heard a barking dog so i ran back home.

I ran all the way to the end of the driveway before I remembered that I wasn't supposed to leave the house without my medication. It's hard to run away when you're a special needs kid :(

yep. my mom wouldn't let me get a dog so i left a note saying "I HATE YOU" and ran down my driveway and sat in the woods. then i came back.
