-387 Privately-owned automobiles are unnecessary and should be banned to save the environment, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We would need a ton more public transportation vehicles if everyone was going to use them; adding all those extra buses everywhere isn't exactly environmentally friendly either.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not if they're hybrid buses, like in my city. Also having a bunch of buses is still more environmentally friendly than having thousands of cars in a city.

I deem the comment you typed in, unworthy of any response.... It's so dumb! @1005568 (Anonymous): ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? That's like saying, less people should car pool, because more people would have to get cars in order to car pool... that's the point of car pooling to prevent "so many people from getting cars"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

banned-no, raising minimum fuel millage, introducing more electric cars, and increasing usage of public transport etc...-definitely. People need cars to get to work, carry loads etc. we do waste a lot by overusing cars but we do to some extent need them

Bingo

by Anonymous 13 years ago

we don't even have taxis in the town i live in and everything is too far apart to walk or bike anywhere. we need cars.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm on a horse.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Who actually calls them automobiles anymore?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree that they're mostly unnecessary, but it would be a bit over the top to ban all cars altogether.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that's a good idea i guess but that's a bit unrealistic. at least for this decade and probably a few more. i mean, they thought we'd have hovercars by now. where's my hovercar? that's right, no hovercar for me :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Limited, yes. Banned, no.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Depends where you live.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You guys are such retards. It's a free country, I can drive my fucking car if I want. You don't like that? GTFO!
