+339 Fat people always blame thin people's fast metabolism, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I HATE my fast metabolism. :/

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, they do. Mainly because of the fact that that's almost always why skinny people are skinny, and fat people are fat. Stop complaining about something you don't know anything about.

Someone must be fat AKA you don't need a good metabolism to be fit, you just need to work a bit harder.

No, Emperorerror is right. If I eat over 1,200 cal a day, I gain a ton of weight. I work out every daty for at least a half hour, and I eat only healthy foods. I still don't look incredibly skinny. Metabolism is a huge factor, don't argue something you know nothing about.

Metabolism can be changed, via cardio and other things like that, but only slightly. It's vastly genetic.

In general, fat people actually have a higher metabolism than skinny people. The body will have to use more energy to keep the extra cells alive. All metabolism is is the amount of energy your body needs to keep itself up and running. It's that simple.
