Didn't you hear? The trailer even said that he was rolling over in his grave. They just mistook his tears for tears of laughter.

He'd probably be amazed at the fact we can make movies at all. Though i agree he'd be dissappointed in what they did to his classic story.

Clearly you didn't see the version with Leonard DiCaprio...that was just pathetic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Agreed. But, at least he was attractive.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Eh, I think he looked okay then. He looked the best in The Beach (2000, I think).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But it was better than "Gnomeo and Juliet". At least it kept the script Shakespeare wrote while relating to teenagers better, this is just pathetic.

You mean the guy who didn't have an original play anyway?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, I love you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know. I saw the trailer, and was left speechless. But not in a good way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My favorite part was when they advertised it as a comedy...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He'd probably just be beyond pleased that the plays he wrote 400 years ago are still popular today and are still making money.
