+522 Your parents say you can talk to them about anything, but there are just some things that should never be discussed between parent and child, amirite?

Like fisting.

Lol. I admit, I usually go to sexual health clinics or gay youth centres to ask about most sex questions that the Internet can't answer.

The LGBT...whatever else is in the acronym now...clinics and bookstores are THE best place to get sexual health info around here. I ask about tubal ligations at Planned Parenthood and they talk down my choices like I'm ten, and on the flip side I can walk into the gay book/toy store and be like "My boyfriiend is curious about enemas, how do we do this?" and they'll chat for an hour about it, complete with hand gestures and personal reviews. It's awesome xD

"James if you have any questions about sex you can ask us anything" "Naa i'll just google it"

My mom freaks out when I mention my birth control pills. And I'm 22 and in an almost 3 year common law relationship. There's no "talking about anything" in my family haha

You guys don't talk about when you PIITB?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not so much that there are things that "should never be" discussed - more that parents often have opinions that aren't helpful because they're archaic or overly biased toward keeping you clean and shit.

No, there ARE things that should never be discussed. There are also things that not only do you not want to share with them, but that they would rather not hear.
