Much fewer self image issues, I would imagine.

The media can be quite educational and inspiring. I got my career choice from watching tv. Although average and unattractive people are underrepresented, you can also learn a lot of good things from the media. There are also plenty of good role models. So without media, people wouldn't know as much. It's hard to explain decently.
