Depending on what kind of zombies they are the infection would most likely not last long. If they were the slow ones I'd hope people weren't dumb enough to stand still or walk, and I think police/military wouldn't take long to just start shooting zombies instead of waiting for a full blown invasion. Also I'd probably die in minutes.

theres been a couple varieties of zombies (in movies). originally, there was the "break out of coffin" zombie. if that was the zombie outbreak, many people would be horrified/shocked seeing people who died recently (assuming their face and body is still intact- which it was). another is the "rage" virus, where the zombie is full of rage and needs to feed as much as possible (quick movers, still full control of limbs). the final one is the modern outbreak, and now the super modern ones where they arent zombies anymore just humans with cannibalism problems where the virus is airbourne and infects people before the zombies really start going.
