+912 Smokers shouldn't take offence if non-smokers hold their breath while they walk by, amirite?

Honestly I think it depends. I'm not a smoker, but if they're outside in a designated smoking area, and someone goes out of their way to walk over and either take a deep breath to show they're holding their breath, or make loud fake coughing spasms, it's a bit much. If they're not doing harm to anyone but themselves, there's no need to be overly obnoxious.

Or cough vigorously.

I'm a smoker and I like to respect non-smokers. It's not their choice, it's mine. If I'm the only smoker around, I can wait til alone. If there's only one non-smoker around, sorry I'm not putting it out. But when they try judging me, I simply take a huge inhale and say "As far as smoking is a bad habit, judging will always be too."

smoking is not good for your health.

I'm well aware, thanks. That's why in return I don't drink soda and I exercise daily. I also cut down a lot (;

Good job on cutting down :)

Holding your breath is one thing, just don't start fake gaggin and choking.

Well, the smoke from when people smoke goes into the air, so by indirectly affecting me with your smoke. I just don't like people to smoke because it's a negative habit with consequences, and I won't want someone to get hurt from something so dumb, but to each his own.
