+270 You dread the day that Glee covers your favorite band and introduces a heap of bandwagoners to them, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not so much that I don't want a whole bunch of new people liking Weezer, it's that I don't want them to fuck up any of their songs.

I highly doubt that Glee will ever cover an T.m Revolutuion song.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

already done. beck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It happened.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hopefully not, but I'm doubtful that they'd cover Nirvana.

Journey WAS one of my favorite bands. Then people started playing it WAY too much. Now it's just annoying.

They already ruined one of my favorite movies (The Rocky Horror Picture Show). So glad, as far as I know, no one on the show speaks German so they can't ruin Faun for me as well.

I know it was already popular, but Sing. D:

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That song got ruined by them playing it on the radio 5 million times a day.

Usually Glee does an okay job on songs, but that was just... that was depressing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They were all so...like...cheerful. The words they were singing were meaningless. It was horrifying.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not worried. I don't see them covering Skrillex or As I Lay Dying any time soon

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I really don't see them attempting Megadeth.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They should just stick to the top ten, they can't ruin those songs anymore.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Honestly who cares, the sound of that band's music doesn't change just because more people like them

by Anonymous 12 years ago

With more fans, concerts begin to have more and more people attending them, making the concert less enjoyable because it was once a nice up-close-and-personal concert and it will no longer ever be like that. And then the band moves on to become some sold-out band and therefore changing their sound.

A glee version of pull harder on the strings of your martyr.. Hmm lets see them try it lol

I stopped watching Glee when they ruined "Start Me Up" and "Hello, I Love You" in the same episode. You can't have Lea Michelle sing a Rolling Stones song and make it poppy. That's just horrifying. And they made "Hello, I love you" seem like a happy little song. Jim Morrison did not make happy little songs. He made creepy, pervy, amazing songs. I swear, if Glee covers a Zeppelin song or a Bob Dylan song I might revolt.

Although they haven't done any of his music... Darren Criss was the Starkids' first. Just sayin'.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"Who's your favorite actor?" "Darrent Criss." "From Glee? :D" "...no."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Uhh they already covered My Chemical Romance, which they totally ruined their songs.:(

Normally, I like the Glee covers. Really, I do. But I HATE how people (mainly teenagers) think that "I Dreamed a Dream/On My Own" are Glee songs. These songs are beautiful ballads with so much pain and raw emotion, and ESPECIALLY "On My Own" has become a pop ballads for teenage girls when a boy doesn't like them. There are great versions of both of these songs, and the Glee ones aren't.

It really pisses me off when they take great songs full of soul or meaning and turn them into pop-bubble gum sensations.

The day they cover Fall Out Boy is the day my mom lets me dye my hair pink

God forbid people are exposed to a band they normally wouldn't have had an interest in due to a popular TV show. Even worse, they actually buy the band's album and like the music enough to become a fan! That horrible Glee show, making people like new music.

I'm afraid they wouldn't be able to capture the deep, soulful essence that (I think) comes with my favorite song. I just don't thin anyone could cover it, because he sings and plays it with so much feeling. D: By the way I'm talking aboot a lot of different Goo Goo Dolls songs. A lot of them aren't well known, so...high hopes! :)

I like Glee and think it's an entertaining show and it's sad to say, but Glee has introduced me to so many "old" songs (I Wanna Sex You Up, Bust A Move) that I wouldn't have known by myself. Also I prefer the original song 99% of the time instead of the Glee version.
