It's a terrible thought that so many musicians have died at the hands of what they lived for, amirite?

Why is it only musicians that make it sad? Why not advocates or soldiers?

(Your+name+(optional)): I posted this because today is Kurt Cobain's birthday and I thought it would be appropriate, the rule applies to anyone.

No one knows why Kurt killed himself. We can only speculate. I don't think it was because his music went mainstream. If that's what you're implying
by Anonymous13 years ago
In my opinion I think that is why he killed himself. I believe that is why they wrote the song "In Bloom"
by Anonymous13 years ago
it would be a valid point but Kurt wrote that song way before he became famous.

I see what your saying. Well it's still my opinion he killed himself because of how people were viewing his music, but it's still that, an opinion.
by Anonymous13 years ago
exactly. We can only speculate and discuss, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I think it was a combination of everything. The heroin, courtney, also probably felt betrayed by his friends after they tried the intervention, his mental health problems. The list goes on

(myprofile) Yes, but all that really matters is that Kurt it gone and all we can do is keep him in our hearts.

I spent his birthday listening to every song and watching all the dvds of nirvana that I own
by Anonymous13 years ago
I just chilled with an old Nirvana shirt my mom gave me, it's from 1992 she said. So I only wear it on Feb.20
I spent the entire day doing the same thing except I don't have any of their DVDs.

Rest in peace Kurt Cobain :/

RIP Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Elliot Smith, and every other beautiful and passionate musician who didn't make it to this day <3

Ah, I couldn't agree more with this. It seems every musician dreams of the moment they would be famous, but do any of the really famous ones seem that happy? And, I'm one of those people who dreams of that moment, but I always think if I actually got there, I'd probably have a serious addiction to drugs somewhere along the way.
