+194 It would suck for a mixed-race kid. The white people wouldn't want him because he has dark skin, and the black people wouldn't want him because they have too many kids already, amirite?

Source: I got it from BroTown

what if they are mixed with asian or hispanic people

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's what I was thinking. There are definitely more types of mixed races than just black and white.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ah, true, I didn't think about that. I got it from a New Zealand show, where even though most people in New Zealand are mixed, the two main races are Caucasian and Maori.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not funny

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, that's hilarious.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't understand this.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Neither do I. Maybe they mean an orphan?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, a mixed person usually doesn't have mixed skin. It's almost always one or the other.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Most people I know who have a parents of different races are kinda in between. Like, a Maori father and a Caucasian mother would be dark skin, but not quite as dark a full Maori. And one Asian parent and one white would be slightly darker than white skin, but not quite the colour of the Asian parent's skin, ya know?

I know a girl who is mixed. She looks black, but if she is standing next to a full-black, she looks lighter, like how milk chocolate looks lighter than dark chocolate.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like milk!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm mixed. Most people assume i'm black. Basically because i'm darker, so that's what they automatically think. Although next to a black person, it's pretty obvious. Most of my friends are white.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so you just have a tan?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so your hispanic?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I said that I am mixed. Half black and half white. I am not hispanic. And I am not tan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well when you say people assume i assumed you meant you weren't

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry that you assumed. I meant people assume I am completely black. As in, no white.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know that there are "light-skinned black" and "dark-skinned black". For example, most celebrities like Beyonce and Oprah would be considered light-skinned black.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wouldn't call Oprah light skinned. Terrence Howard is light skinned.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

they said they weren't black or maybe i just read the wrong shit

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My teacher's mom actually went through this. Both sides of her family sort of disowned her. The white side went as far to leave all the money to her daughter that was born with lighter skin. It's terrible.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What do you mean? "The white people wouldn't want him . . . " Did he just appear out of thin air without any parents?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i guess whites decided not to enslave people

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ha, wasn't really thinking when I made this post. But, yeah, in the TV show I got it from, Bro'Town, they found an orphan in a basket, and this my re-wording of a quote from the show that I found funny.
