The coffee bean has a natural flavor, so that's not an equal comparison. OP is trying to say that water is water, plain and simple. Nothing added. Once you change that, it's not just "water" anymore.

No, you can add flavor to coffee. A compound is added to the coffee beans so they'll be flavored. It doesn't come out flavored like that naturally. It's still coffee. By adding flavor to water it's still water.

Either way, I'm not up for an argument about coffee and water. I'll save my time for more important debates, like whether or not you can play checkers with chess pieces.

Say you squeeze a bit of lemon into a glass of water, therefore making it lemon flavored. According to you, it's no longer water, which isn't true.
