+185 When you go to the bathroom, you're in there for longer than needed because you play on your phone, amirite?

I may be the only person who thinks it's unsanitary to bring your phone into the bathroom. Then again, maybe if I had a smartphone I wouldn't care as much.

It's no different to bringing a book or magazine with you, which most people do. I take my phone and sometimes even my laptop and I've never gotten or spread any kind of sickness from it.

I don't bring anything into the bathroom. We have magazines that stay in there.

Also, I don't regularly touch books or magazines to my face, so a phone is in fact different, unless you always use a headset or something.

Are you using the phone to wipe your ass or unclog the toliet?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No, but I use my phone with the hands that do those things. Besides, don't be foolish enough to think that all of the germs are in the toilet. I'm not saying the bathroom is a disgusting place and you should sanitize yourself every time you leave. It's just that for me, the entertainment value of the phone is not worth bringing it into what is probably the grossest room in the house. That's why I said that if I actually had a smartphone, I might feel differently.

I never bring my phone to the bathroom, and I think it's kind of weird that so many people do.

But come on, your phone isn't the only thing that's going to get germs on it. There's the door knob, faucet handle, soap dispenser, and etc.

Its never longer than NEEDED, just longer than WANTED.

I need all the time

There's probably at least ten people taking a dump while on amirite at any given moment.
