i am in know way ignorant. I never said it can alter your work ethic, nor that it was harmful. I simply see it as immoral and disgusting. I view alcohol the same way for those who drink underage.

yes, there are many other disgusting things, but as you can see, this is one that is disputed, so i feel strongly about it. I don't need to say that i don't like rapists, because that's common in most people's minds. This is a statement of my beleifs, no need to call me an idiot. And yes, that was quite a let down when i found that out about someone who represented our entire country.

It's illegal, and therefore engaging in it is justified cause for loss of respect from people who look down upon illegal acts, like the OP. Those of you who smoke it, fine whatever, but you shouldn't jab so harshly at the people who stand up to say things like this.

well not all of us who are "jabbing" at the op are potheads. i'm a college student and i've never taken a hit of weed in my entire life, nor do i drink. it's one thing to look at someone differently, but losing all respect for them is irrational. if the op is as young as the average poster on this site, my bet is that marijuana will be nationally legalized within his/her lifetime. so what then? is he/she just going to spit on every user that they come across?

Is it really irrational? Did the kids that smoked weed in middle school ever go far? no. They are at home or in jail with no money, and I like this post because it's true. People throw their lives away when they do soemthign this stuopid adn at least 3/4 of the people commenting on this are potheads who have nothing better to do then defend their pathetic little lives, adn the one and only thing they love. A lot of successful adults used marijauna as a highschooler. Especially the babyboomers. The babyboomers are the successful business people, politicians, or other leaders of the country today. Marijuana obviously did not hinder their success.

I also think smoking is gross, but I don't lose complete respect for people who smoke. If you want to do it, do it. Just don't do it around me. Same with cigarettes and drugs.
